Backstory:
Before the Archon War, there were three gods with the power to become gods in Liyue. Morax, The God of Contracts. Guizhong, The Goddess of Dust, and Dantalion, the Goddess of Knowledge.
Morax came from Southern Liyue, having raised Liyue Harbor out of the water, where Guizhong hailed from Northern Liyue, her glaze lily garden there. Dantalion was from Chenyu Vale, a section of Liyue not originally part of it.
During this time period, Dantalion made a contract with Morax, with the young Goddess offering her assistance in planning battles and repairing the land after Morax destroyed it. In return, the God offered his physical protection, leading her out of her sacred grove for the first time.
During
the next two thousand years, they grew from associates to close friends. The Archon war devastated them both. Guizhong's passing deeply affected the both of them, leading to them ending up closer.
Both
of them were blindsided when Celestia chose to Seal Dantalion. They claimed her ability to seek knowledge outside the assistance of the heavens was dangerous, and that she had already violated it. She went down into a
small cave, the only company being the drip of the water and the everpresent hum of the magical seal in front of her.
In
her grief and anger, she chose to do the very thing she was warned against.. She had nothing to lose if already sealed, right? She thought everything was normal until she did learn.. Learn about the lies, the horrors,
the atrocities covered up by the heavens. They had destroyed civilizations, had sent down nails to punish those they deemed sinners. She chose then to dedicate herself to learning
EVERYTHING.

Relationships
Zhongli / Morax / Rex Lapis - ♥♥♥♥♥ -
Dantalion holds an immense amount of respect for Zhongli, considering all he’s been through. She is the first to argue in his defense and she refuses to hear any slander over his deeds in Liyue or his past, as she was there.
She was in love with him before she was sealed and instead of losing that love during her time underground, she instead grew more in love with him as she missed him.
She cried a lot when the stress of being sealed overwhelmed her, and she’d always calm herself by repeating things he’d say.
Guizhong / Haagentus - ♥♥♥♥♡ -
Dantalion and Guizhong were very close before her passing. They were both positive forces, and Dantalion helped her grow her flowers around Liyue. For a time Liyue was covered in flora, Glaze lilies and other flowers dotting practically everywhere you looked. This was the doing of the two Goddesses.
Guizhong
was in charge of the people, making sure they were well attended to. It was not because Dantalion didn’t care, in fact she cared a lot.. She was shy, though. Guizhong was more confident in front of a crowd, and more
confident in general. Dantalion looked up to her a lot in regards to how a proper goddess should act.
When
Dantalion found out that Guizhong also held feelings for Morax, she willingly stepped aside, feeling that the elder goddess was more than deserving of the mans affection. She was never upset during their union, as
seeing her two favorite people happy was enough for her, but she couldn’t deny the ache in the bottom of her heart when she saw his smile and it wasn’t directed at her. She hid it well, behind a smile and wit.
